Boston Badger Bratfest at Head of the Charles Regatta
Head of the Charles Regatta
The Boston Area Chapter has extended an invitation to all Badgers to join them for:
The 35th Annual Head of the Charles Bratfest, which will take place on
Sunday, October 19th, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Area Badgers and supporters will gather on the banks of the Charles River to watch the men's and women's crew teams from the UW compete against teams from other prestigious colleges and universities.
Enjoy a Wisconsin-style tailgate with brats, potato salad, coleslaw, chips, soda, water and ice cream from Babcock Dairy as well as much more food and drink (alcohol for sale from 3rd Party Vendor). Also don't forget to bring your camera to get your picture taken along the Charles River with Bucky.
Boston chapter is hosting the event at Reunion Village which is a short walk from Harvard and Central Squares. The site is at the Weeks Footbridge, on the "Boston side" of the Charles River near the Harvard Business School.
The Village is located on the Boston side of the Charles River between the Weeks and Anderson Bridges. Positioned at the halfway point in the races, it's one of the river's BEST viewing sites! It is a controlled access enclosure within walking distance to Harvard Square and public transport from Alewife T-Station (Getting to Alewife (Parking Spaces: 2,733) - map)
Note: Due to regulations, all people who enter the Reunion Village will have their ID checked and be charged a $1 fee. Those 21 years of age or older will be given a ribbon to allow them to purchase beer and wine.
Attending costs: Normal price $25 per person - there is a Special Price for CT Badgers of just $20
Boston ask the same for the CT alumni as MA - to register online in advance.
They need this to make sure that they have enough food.
Please RSVP before Oct 12th by registering online.

Spring 2009
Initial plans are underway for a wine tasting event, possibly in combination with a cultural venue, such as an art museum. Since this event is in the very early stages of planning, we're looking for volunteers to help organize the event, as well as your ideas and suggestions! Please contact us for more information!
April is usually the month we hold our annual Founders' Day dinner. Details on the dinner and speaker will be provided on the Founders' Day page when they become available.
